Jul.14--CMA CGM founder, chairman and CEO Jacques Saade has received an honorary doctorate degree from the Lebanese American University (LAU) in recognition of his achievements as a great business leader.
The French shipping giant boss accepted the honor during a ceremony at the LAU campus in Byblos, Lebanon in front of more than 5,000 people, including 750 graduates and members of the government.
Mr Saade, a graduate of the London School of Economics and Officer of the French Legion of Honor, said CMA CGM's motto of perseverance, determination and long-term vision should be an inspiration to the students present.
"The strength of our group lies in its family business model. Our core values give the company its heart and soul. This is how we have grown, and we will continue to do so with the same passion," he said, cited a statement from the shipping group.
